THE PILLOW TALK CAUSE
‘The Pillow Talk Cause’ is a project by Saliah M Bryan, a creative designer from London. It was launched and exhibited
at the Reconnecting Arts Exhibition from August the 15th – 9th September 2017 at the Menier Gallery, London.
Reconnecting Arts is a platform that supports emerging middle eastern artists.

Saliah asked me to bring her cushion patterns to life by dancing around the screen and she gave me total freedom
to implement the animations. They were shown at the exhibition and on the Instagram account of the project.

What is the mission?
Pillow talk seeks to gather artists from across the world to design a cushion specifically intended to reflect a cause
it cares about. Cushions are often the centre piece of a room, and should be the starting point of conversation.
Each artist will produce a limited edition series of cushions, to be sold with a percentage of the proceeds being
donated to the cause it seeks to represent. In this instance, artist Saliah M Bryan aims to raise awareness of the current
crisis in Syria and offer her donation to Human Care Syria.
